August-September Updates
We are entering the last month of the bowling season – where has the summer gone? Weather has continued to be a challenge for the scheduling. Please remember to put the reference dates (date game played and date originally scheduled) on your score cards so the league standings can be updated accurately.
Open Pairs League
The Open Pairs League on Wednesday evenings is completing the second round. The new draw began on July 24th, and we are happy to have a twelve (12) team draw. In addition, the start time has been shifted from the 7:00 start time to 6:30, although folks should provide those who travel some flexibility if the 6:30 time is difficult to begin. There have also been a couple Sunday games in order to complete a full round robin.
The results from the first draw have come to conclusion. Judy Vincent and Chris Sheardown have won the first round-robin with an 8-1 record and 135 points scored. Congratulations to both of them. Deb Chiasson and Chris Atkinson were the runners-up with a 6-1 record (but had two games not played).
For the updated standings, you may find these on the website in the Members Only section under Leagues or check the bulletin board at the club. Any questions on the league can be addressed by sending an email to either braddshinn@gmail.com or Lawson.Grant@gmail.com or the HPLBCMatch@gmail.com account.
